(she/her)
Hello, I am Danielle Silva, a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I am committed to treating the whole individual by developing personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs. I work with clients across the lifespan who are seeking to make meaningful progress in their mental health journey. My goal is to provide compassionate, comprehensive care that supports growth and well-being.
In our first session together, we will review your medical, family, psychiatric, developmental, and educational history, as well as your general social background and current stressors. My goal is to gain a comprehensive understanding of your experiences and then focus on specific symptoms. From there, we will collaborate to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses your unique needs and goals.
Having worked as a psychiatric nurse practitioner for five years, I have found that the path to client growth is through a holistic approach that considers mental and physical health. Building a therapeutic relationship, emphasizing strong patient education, and collaborating with other care team members are essential elements in fostering meaningful progress and achieving optimal outcomes for each individual.
I enjoy working with clients who are committed to improving their mental health. I typically provide care for patients dealing with anxiety disorders, depression, mood dysregulation, sleep issues, alcohol use, and ADHD. My goal is to create a supportive environment where clients can make meaningful progress in managing their symptoms and achieving their personal goals.
In Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, my goal is to understand my clients as a whole, focusing on their strengths and helping to provide solutions to any problems or challenges they may face. I work collaboratively with clients to set clear, achievable goals that can be reached throughout our sessions. While these goals may be difficult for the client to recognize on their own, we aim to identify and leverage their strengths and resources to move forward effectively.
As a Christian, I strive to remain open and supportive of individuals from all religious backgrounds, recognizing that spirituality is an important aspect of mental health. Research has shown that religion can positively impact mental health by providing emotional support, a sense of connectedness, effective coping mechanisms, and a greater sense of meaning and purpose. Spiritual practices can foster qualities such as gratitude and compassion, which contribute to overall well-being.
