I teach clients coping skills and self-care techniques to manage stress, prioritize self-care, and maintain overall well-being. • Academic Support: From time management and organization to study skills and test-taking strategies, I offer practical support to help students with ADHD excel academically and reach their full potential. • Transition Support: Whether you’re transitioning into the workforce or preparing for college life, I provide guidance and support to navigate these significant life changes successfully. • Career Development: Whether you’re struggling to focus at work, manage deadlines, or communicate effectively with colleagues, I provide guidance to help young professionals overcome obstacles related to ADHD and Anxiety and achieve their career goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

You can expect that our work together is a partnership, and our goal is creating positive change in your life. We will work together collaboratively to meet your goals. I will be your caring and compassionate advocate, ally, and cheerleader. I will be honest, direct, and challenging when needed. You can expect to have homework to do outside of session. Together, we will determine the strategies that have the best chance of success with you – some people prefer to journal, some meditate, some learn from characters in movies or books, and some like to set up their own behavioral experiments. We will openly discuss how effective our strategies are. If they work, we keep them. If they don’t, we try something different. We will do this in a nonjudgemental and curious attitude because not every plan works, and failure is often the best teacher.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I take a holistic approach to therapy, understanding that ADHD and Anxiety impact various aspects of a young adult’s life, including academic performance, relationships, and career advancement. I take a personalized approach, tailoring treatment plans to meet the unique needs of every individual. Whether you’re moving forward in your professional life, transitioning into your career, navigating college life, or preparing to leave for college, I’m here to help. Together, we’ll explore the impact of ADHD and Anxiety on your daily life, identify triggers, and develop coping strategies to manage symptoms effectively.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Thoughts and behaviors are linked together and in therapy I work with people to make changes in one or both areas to positively impact overall functioning.

Eclectic

I believe that all people and situations are unique so I draw from a variety of counseling techniques to create individualized interventions.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Having studied mindfulness, I am happy when I can educate people on the benefits of focusing on the breath and being aware of the moment on helping improve mental health.
