New to Grow
Everyone has the right to happiness and fulfillment. We just sometimes need support, encouragement, and accountability to reach our goals. I am a clinical psychologist who believes that each individual is unique. Whether you are struggling with lifelong mental health difficulties or don't even know where to start, I will work with you as a collaborator and partner to help you get to where you want to be. My approach follows a person-centered multicultural perspective to support and empower you on this journey. I specialize in depression, anxiety, OCD, and trauma. I am passionate about exploring how your childhood, family of origin, and culture contribute to you your current mental health. I respect and incorporate characteristics related to your beliefs, religion, sexuality, and acculturation into our work to the extent you feel necessary. If you're ready to take action towards the future that you envision, reach out. Even if my background doesn't fit your needs at this time, you've taken the first step, and I am happy to contribute to your journey.
In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and understanding what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask some questions about your current concerns, history, and goals, while also explaining how therapy works and what you can expect. You’re welcome to share at your own pace—there’s no rush. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and ready to begin the work ahead.
While individual therapy style is anchored in CBT and other evidence-based treatments , I take a holistic, whole-person approach to fully address your specific concerns. I respect your identity, culture, and background and make sure that key considerations like your upbringing, beliefs, religion, sexuality, and acculturation are incorporated into treatment to the extent you feel necessary.
Aside from my clinical specialties (trauma, depression, anxiety, OCD) and training as a clinical psychologist, we may be a good fit if the following resonates with who you are and/or what you're looking for in therapy: - You want to understand, at a deeper level, the root causes of your current mental health functioning, such as childhood, cultural impact, and prior experiences in general. - You're ready and eager for change, whether that is a change in mindset, behaviors, career, or anything to get you out of feeling stuck. - You're looking for someone compassionate but at the same time will challenge you. - You feel confused about what's going on and want to understand yourself, your symptoms, and what can be done. You may have heard of a diagnosis but want to know more and whether it's something you're experiencing. - You have concrete goals for therapy and is ready to make them happen.
I approach therapy with a deep understanding of how trauma impacts the brain, body, and sense of self. Sessions create a compassionate and collaborative space where healing happens at your pace. My goal is to help you feel supported and empowered on your treatment journey.
Using CBT, I help you identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors, providing practical tools to manage anxiety, depression, and stress more effectively in daily life.
EMDR is a structured, evidence-based therapy that helps process traumatic memories so they no longer feel overwhelming. Together, we’ll work gently through past experiences to reduce emotional distress and build resilience.
Overall, my experiences both lived and professionally has taught me that there is no one-size-fits-all in mental health. Thus, I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches while tailoring each session to meet your unique needs, preferences, and goals. This flexible, personalized style allows us to adapt the work as you grow and change over time.
ERP is a highly effective approach for treating OCD and anxiety disorders, where we gradually face fears in a safe, supportive environment while learning to break the cycle of compulsions or avoidance.
