Hi, I'm William I am a clinical social worker trained to help people find solutions to their problems and concerns. Do you feel the pressure of career, family, children and a world full of tremendous change? I am here to help you maneuver what can seem like a complex maze. Each of us has the power to grow and face challenges and sometimes we just need someone to listen and help us find the right direction. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I love to work with all types of people to help them live and achieve their best life. Seeking and receiving therapy can be scary for some people. But it doesn't have to be scary. Therapy should be your time to enter a place where you will feel safe and respected to share your deepest thoughts and desires. Together we will work to help you achieve your goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

We all want to be heard. At your first session I am interested in hearing from you and hearing your story. Each of us is unique and we bring our own experiences, thoughts and feelings. Therapy needs to start where you are and to hear your goals. My job is to hear you articulate your needs and help you find a path forward.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest areas of strength are working with people who are making life transitions such as a change in job, the addition of children or having children leave the home for adulthood or a loss. These changes can cause tremendous stress and anxiety but there are strategies to use to manage these transitions.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

When people are motivated to enter therapy they need someone who will listen and not judge, be supportive and help them move to a place of well being. People often have awareness of what they need to do but they often need someone who can support them in this journey to wellness. I believe it is important to accept people where they are in their life journey.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

"Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a short-term goal-focused evidence-based therapeutic approach, which incorporates positive psychology principles and practices, and which helps clients change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems." I believe that it can be useful to focus not on the problem but on the solution you want to achieve the goals you want for your life. There can be power and energy in focusing on the positive direction in which you want to move
