I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has over 30 years in the mental health field working in psychiatric hospitals and private practice. I work with clients who have depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts and/or attempts, self-harming behaviors, relationship issues, divorce, marriage therapy, grief issues, domestic victims, substance use, anger management and adolescent/family issues. I am passionate about what I do and truly care about each and every one of my clients.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session is about gathering information about my client(s) and the problems they are there to address.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider, I believe my greatest strengths lie in my ability to actively listen, intuitively understand my clients' needs, and think outside the box to tailor solutions that address their unique circumstances effectively.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

As a Christian counselor, I have integrated principles of Christianity using a therapeutic process, often aligning therapy goals with biblical teachings and values.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (CBT), I work collaboratively with clients to identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors contributing to emotional distress. Through structured sessions, clients learn to recognize and challenge irrational beliefs, replacing them with more balanced and adaptive thoughts.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Suicide Prevention (CBT-SP)

As a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist for Suicide Prevention (CBT-SI), I focus on addressing suicidal thoughts and behaviors by targeting underlying cognitive distortions and maladaptive coping strategies. Through structured interventions, clients learn to identify triggers for suicidal ideation, challenge negative beliefs about themselves and their situations, and develop effective problem-solving skills.

Couples Counseling

As a couple's counselor, I foster transparent and constructive dialogue between partners to tackle relationship concerns and enhance their overall dynamic. I help couples develop effective communication skills, conflict resolution techniques, and approaches to rebuilding trust and intimacy.

Grief Therapy

As a Grief therapist, I provide a supportive environment for individuals to process and navigate the complex emotions associated with loss. Through compassionate listening and validation, I help clients explore their feelings of sadness, anger, guilt, and confusion surrounding various losses.
