Hi there, I'm Anne. Do you ever feel overwhelmed by all the changes life can bring? Do you struggle with complicated feelings such as sadness, anger, fear, worry, anxiety, jealousy, and guilt? Is it challenging to be kind to yourself? Would you like to feel less stressed and find a sense of well-being? I offer a compassionate approach, and together we can identify what's not working and develop skills to cultivate personal growth and resilience. I use a client-centered approach to address the needs of your mind, body, and spirit. I also integrate self-compassion practices, art, and mindfulness to help you cultivate self-awareness and a compassionate relationship with yourself. I will create a safe place to explore your emotions and identify which ones you can rely on as a guide to your needs and which ones are no longer helpful and need to be changed. Whether you're dealing with burnout, stress, relationship issues, or cycles of anxiety and depression, I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can feel scary, but you're making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. I help individuals and couples accept, express, regulate and make sense of their emotions and live more fully. I look forward to working with you!
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Through my work with clients, I have learned that well-being is possible. For many years I have worked with individuals and couples living with chronic progressive illnesses, grief, and trauma. My interests are in spirituality, the mind-body relationship, and the creative arts as a way to enhance a sense of well-being and quality of life for people and their families.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Adults who are dealing with anxiety, burnout, relational issues, depression, career changes, aging, grief, and chronic illness
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
I have received training in Levels I and II Emotion-Focused Therapy. I help individuals and couples accept, express, and understand their emotions so they may access healthier emotions and transform maladaptive emotions such as fear of abandonment or shame related to feelings of inadequacy or low self-worth developed from past experiences.
