Hi my name is Ellen Golding, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, my practice is guided by all people who possess intrinsic worth and have the capacity to realize this. All individuals are worthy of respect. I strive to cultivate a therapy space that is safe for all genders, races, cultures, family constellations, and relationships. I believe fundamentally in the values of a good therapeutic fit. The dedication respect, safety, and expertise I received shape my vision for the patient and in bringing therapeutic and restoration to those in search.
I believe fundamentally in the value of a good therapeutic fit in counseling clients as counselors are diverse. A brief conversation with you, before starting counselling, is an important first step in helping to ensure that we are a good match. Warm and accepting, inclusive and practical best describes my personal therapeutic style. I place a high value on careful listening, empathy, professional ethics, and accountability.

CBT is used therapeutic approach that focusses on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT is based on the idea that our thoughts and interpretations and events influence how we feel and behave. CBT has been extensively researched and has shown effectiveness in treating anxiety disorders, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, eating disorders, and many others. You will learn strategies to manage your emotions, identifying problematic thoughts and behaviors and developing strategies to address them. You will gain insight into your own thinking patterns and learn how to challenge and modify negative or unhelpful thoughts. This active involvement fosters a sense of ownership and empowerment in the therapeutic process.
Couples therapy interventions can be reinforced through various exercises and activities that are designed to promote understanding, deeper connections, forgiveness, or any other issue you are struggles to overcome in your relatonship. The therapist creates a sense of safety by getting to know you and your partner and helps identify feelings and put them into words to one another. Couples Therapy employ an integrated approach to treatment borrowing techniques from different forms of therapy. The Gottman Method therapy emphasizes the outsize power of negative emotion to harm a relationship, the importance of frequent bids for connection or response, the vital need for relearning how to express affection and respect as a means of building closeness. Emotion focused Therapy can help identify patterns in a relationship where two people can begin healing and bonding in a positive manner. Therapy helps encourage shared responsibility for the therapy.
