There are moments in life where we might find ourselves feeling lost, confused, out of control, or just unhappy. These feelings can make us feel frustrated, hopeless, and off course. Therapy can help navigate those feelings and guide us in regaining our sense of self. I believe that therapy can be the first step towards healing. In my 7 years of providing bicultural therapy services and overlooking hundreds of cases as a clinical supervisor, I have learned many approaches that have shaped my practice. I’ve worked with seniors managing grief, teenagers discovering their identity and self-worth, and families that are dealing with life adjustments. I’ve partnered with people coming from all paths of life and all sorts of cultures. Everyone has a voice and I would love to help you find yours.
During our first session, we will have a conversation about your goals and expectations from therapy. My goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible and provide a safe and non-judgmental space where you can feel free to be vulnerable.
In my practice I work from a client-centered approach. I incorporate empathy, respect, and authenticity into my clinical interactions in order to provide a safe, warm and nonjudgmental space for my clients to feel accepted and welcome. I honor and acknowledge that clients are the best experts of their own lives. In my role as a therapist, I partnered with clients in becoming curious and intentional about disrupting patterns and cycles. We can work together to address these bumps in the road of life. I use a mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focus-Brief Therapy, and Trauma Informed Therapy to inform my practice. Through the use of these techniques my clients can experience relief in their symptoms and improve their quality of life.
I can work with clients such as young adults who are learning to come into their own, adults who might be going through adjustments in their families or careers, and older adults who are looking to refine their sense of self. I love fostering an environment that helps people grow into the best possible version of themselves.
I have experience in various treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. However, I believe in partnering with my clients to determine the best approach for their situation.
