Hi, my name is Joy Gavigan, and I am Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, based in the Lower Hudson Valley, NY. I received my MSN in 2020 from Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing and have worked in healthcare for over 20 years. I provide evaluations, diagnoses and collaborative treatment plans. I believe in an integrated care approach which may include careful medication management, psychoeducation, lifestyle changes and counselling to help you get back on track.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session together, we will discuss any symptoms you are experiencing and examine the issues you are facing in your daily life. I will take the time to get to know you and together, we will create an individualized plan to address your needs.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I value collaboration and offer a safe, nonjudgemental, and supportive atmosphere. I strive to provide high quality care to support total health and wellness. With 20+ years of both education and hands on experience in the medical field, I feel confident that I am well versed across the mental health spectrum.
