I am an LMHC and NCC. I have been passionate about helping people for as long as I can remember. When I was eight years old, I remember begging my mother to let me start an advice column in the local newspaper. She did not, but that never stopped me from listening to my friends around me and trying to help them solve their problems. I knew I wanted to turn this into a career! In learning about what therapists do, I knew this was the right move for me! While therapists aren’t advice givers, I absolutely love being a soundboard for individuals and helping them live their best lives; lives they often never thought they could live. I am very passionate about helping people achieve the possible.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, I will be sure to answer any questions you have about therapy and the way I practice. I will ensure you know what you are getting into and feel comfortable with the therapeutic process. I will get to know you and what brought you to therapy: your goals, your struggles, things you do well, and challenges you face during your day-to-day. I want you to leave feeling confident in your choice of hiring me as your therapist.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I interact with every individual I meet with a genuine sense of empathy, as I have heard and seen things in my career which are impossible to forget. I work to truly hear and understand every individual's story and understand how their experiences have informed their current self.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been utilizing CBT in my work since day one. CBT enables clients to challenge automatic thoughts, tackle symptoms of depression, and manage their anxiety. We will use CBT concepts to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We will then use this knowledge to challenge and refine your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less overwhelming and happier life.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I have been conceptualizing and working with clients through a person-centered lens since I began my career as a therapist. Person-centered work results in clients being welcomed into the therapeutic environments with unconditional positive regard. You are the only one who fully knows your story. I will work to fully understand you and your story then utilize this knowledge to help you live your best life.

Psychodynamic

I am classically trained in psychodynamic therapy and tend to work this therapeutic approach into all the work I do. Psychodynamic therapy helps us explore the "why" and the origin of our mental health struggles. I will work with you to dive into these questions to help enhance your understanding of yourself.
