I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with private practice and school counseling experience. I am a first-generation immigrant that values the importance of the cultural values to guide my clients to a path of self healing. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults who struggle with life challenges like trauma, anxiety, depression, and grief. I assist and guide individuals to gain the skills using the tools that best fits their lifestyle to thrive in society.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

First session is very different from the rest of the sessions. We will review the therapeutic journey together to not leave much room for assumption.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am an energetic and bubbly person and I like being able to give my clients glimpses of joy and hope during a difficult and vulnerable time.

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

Psychodynamic therapy is often one of my chosen treatment methods because it dives into the deeper layers of your inner self, exploring unconscious thoughts, emotions, and past experiences that may be influencing current behaviors and patterns. It's an approach that helps create a healthy foundation to build self-awareness and your identity. It's focus on the therapeutic relationship can also provide a safe space for exploring difficult or painful emotions.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) is one of my go-to approaches because of its emphasis on finding practical solutions to current problems. It is efficient and it allows the client to focus on the present and future rather than on past traumas or challenges. SFBT empowers individuals to identify their strengths, set achievable goals, and develop strategies to move forward for those seeking more concrete and immediate results.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is appreciated for its evidence-based approach and effectiveness in treating a variety of mental health conditions. CBT focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to distress, helping individuals develop more adaptive coping strategies and skills. CBT is structured, goal-oriented, and often involves homework assignments to practice new skills outside of therapy sessions.
