Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker base din DFW, Texas. I am a formally trained therapist that utilizes multiple strength and trauma informed approaches to tackle life's toughest issues. I specialize in deep hurts or traumas. This can be anything from the way you grew up, a belief you used to hold, a former relationship to a person or group, or to a specific event that hurt you. The things that we find the most difficult to talk about are the things that we need to pay close attention to, BUT you don't have to do that on your own. Often time issues or concerns arise through the interactions and the relationships we have with others. My goal is to empower and facilitate unique change among individuals to increase the likelihood of success in life and your relationships.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session is a chance to get to know one another, this can be diving right in or starting with where you are today. Then we work together to create a plan of action for how therapy can best work for you.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

An insecure attachment can be the root of many of our struggles as adults. I have studied attachment-based therapy through the Trust Based Relational Intervention methodology and model.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT can be one of the best ways to identify our patterns and work to change them. I use CBT intermittently throughout my practice, sometimes with very pointed exercises and sometimes more informally in theory as we work together.

Trauma-Focused CBT

TF-CBT combines the best of both the trauma informed approach and the very practical approach of CBT. I utilize TF-CBT with all clients who have a history of trauma at any level.

Brainspotting

Brainspotting is a very intense form of trauma therapy that can work to process through past traumas. I frequently use this technique with clients who have experienced childhood and young adult trauma.

Grief Therapy

Grief is an ever evolving process, it never looks the same and neither does therapy for it. I utilize multiple ways to process and move through grief to help clients understand how to live their life with a loss.
