Hello! I would love to have the opportunity to help you and/or your child! I offer a wide range of services, including comprehensive psychological assessments to help identify strengths, challenges, and provide valuable insights. These assessments will help empower you or your child to better understand yourselves and make informed decisions. Additionally, I provide counseling services for children and adolescents dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, attention problems, self-esteem, and life changes.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your goals, and any concerns or questions you may have. I will provide an overview of the therapeutic process, confidentiality policies, and answer any initial questions about therapy. Overall the first session is an opportunity for clients to establish rapport, set expectations and begin the collaborative process of therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a psychologist, I have always been passionate about helping others navigate through life's challenges and finding their inner strength. I am excited to help create a safe space where I can work together with you and your child toward personal growth and well-being.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a psychotherapy approach that I use in my practice to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns and beliefs. By working together, we explore how these thoughts affect emotions and behaviors, and develop strategies to replace them with more positive and adaptive ones. CBT also involves setting specific goals and implementing practical techniques to help clients make meaningful changes in their lives.

Christian Counseling

In my practice, I integrate Christian counseling principles and values to help clients explore their faith and spirituality as a source of strength and healing. I work with clients to align their beliefs with their mental health goals and incorporate biblical teachings and values into the therapeutic process.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness therapy techniques to help clients cultivate present-moment awareness and nonjudgmental acceptance of their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Through mindfulness practices such as meditation, breathing exercises, and body scans, clients learn to observe their thoughts and feelings without getting caught up in them. This promotes self-awareness, emotional regulation, and stress reduction, empowering clients to respond to challenges with clarity and compassion.

Psychological Testing And Evaluation

I provide psychological assessments for both children and adults. Assessments for autism spectrum, ADHD, emotional and behavioral disorders as well as learning disabilities can provide valuable insight to help clients excel in their lives.

Trauma-Focused CBT

In my practice, I utilize Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help clients process and heal from traumatic experiences. This evidence-based approach combines cognitive and behavioral techniques to address the impact of trauma on thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through a structured and collaborative process, clients learn coping skills, process traumatic memories, and reframe negative beliefs related to the trauma. TF-CBT also involves creating a sense of safety, building trust, and promoting resilience to support clients in their healing journey.
