LMHC, 15 years of experience
As a dedicated mental health counselor with fourteen years of experience, I have been helping individuals navigate life's challenges and foster their mental well-being. My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, respect, and collaboration. I believe in creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions without judgment. My therapeutic style is integrative, allowing me to tailor my approach to meet each client's unique needs and goals. My goal is to empower clients to gain insight, develop coping strategies, and build resilience, ultimately leading to a more fulfilling and balanced life. In addition to my clinical work, I am committed to ongoing professional development and staying current with the latest research in the field. I also value community involvement and often collaborate with local community leaders to provide resources and promote mental health awareness.
Clients can expect to begin building rapport with therapist through intake assessment and motivational interviewing. Clients should come prepared to ask questions and state expectations for therapy process.
My strengths as a provider are active listening, non judgmental approach, empathy, communication skills, cultural competence, flexibility, commitment to continuous learning, and ethical integrity.
The ideal client is open to self exploration, willing to engage in the process, motivated for change, open to feedback, has realistic expectations, and is respectful and collaborative. Though these characteristics are ideal, therapy is also about meeting clients where they are. Even if someone doesn't fit all these characteristics perfectly, therapy can still be effective with a strong therapeutic alliance and mutual commitment to the process.
Using CBT has allowed me to provide a structured and collaborative space, where clients actively engage in understanding and changing mental patterns and behaviors. This method is goal-oriented and focuses on both immediate relief and learning long-term ways to maintain mental wellness.
Using TF-CBT allows me to create a structured, collaborative space to allow clients' to focus on and addresses the effects of trauma in a sensitive and effective manner.
Motivational Interviewing allows me to enhancing motivation, foster a collaborative and respectful therapeutic relationship, and support clients in making and sustaining meaningful changes in their lives.
Providing couples therapy offers me an opportunity to proved a structured and supportive environment for partners to address challenges, enhance their relationship, and build a stronger, more fulfilling connection.

Therapist Review: Kimberly – 10000/10 (yes, that extra zero is on purpose) Kimberly is the GOAT of therapy. She’s quick to respond, genuinely helpful, and refreshingly real. I can be 100% myself—overthinking, dark humor, chaos and all—and she meets me with insight, compassion, and just the right amount of tough love. She’s open-minded, authentic, and makes growth feel possible (even on rough days). 10000/10. Would recommend her to literally everyone. She deserve a trophy !!!!

Thank you, Kimberly, for listening to my story. I enjoyed speaking with you. I was actually, going to cancel my session because I felt anxious. But speaking with you made me feel at ease. Hearing your feedback has allowed me to step back and allow my grieving process to flow. It's up to me to take gradual steps until I no longer feel engulfed by my sorrow and move forward to what I want to do. Thank you, again, Kimberly. Looking forward to our next session.
