I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) practicing in Florida. I received my MS from Nova Southeastern University and have been working in the field over 8 years. I help adults who are struggling is emotional difficulties such as: anxiety, depression, stress, and other disruptors such as: change of life stage, employment changes, and other major life changes. I support people who are interested in becoming a more balanced version of themselves.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session with one another, we generally start with a brief introduction and I orient my clients to the nuances of their therapy experience. We then complete an assessment to begin narrowing down our focus for treatment as well as our treatment goals. We create a tailored plan in which I gather collaborate feedback from each client for which we will work through in our follow up appointments. I encourage my clients to chose a pace that feels most reasonable to their goals, offering feedback where needed.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My clients enjoy my outcome oriented, therapeutic approach and down-to-earth spirit. I use solution oriented evidenced based approaches in order to support clients in addressing their interpersonal challenges through a brief therapy framework. I work well with people who are motivated to be their own #LifeGoals.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Are you unhappy, sick of overthinking things & feeling like you are failing at life? Life gets complicated, especially as professional women of color. Asking for help can feel like admitting that you've failed or that you are weak. The reality is that at some point, even the best of us need help (myself included). So, it’s ok to ask for help! Not because you are weak but because you want to remain strong. That is where I come in. I specialize in supporting women of color with sorting through the familial, emotional, and personal life challenges that keep us feeling stuck and unable to step into the purposeful lives that we desire to have. In other words, I help black women get back to "living our best lives." My specialties include: anxiety management, heartbreak/break-up recovery, trauma, self esteem, personal development and depression management. I most often work with middle of life professional women of color who are seeking to gain a better relationship with themselves and their emotions as they transitions through major changes in their lives.
