LCSW, 10 years of experience
New to Grow
With over a decade of clinical experience, I help teens and adults heal from narcissistic abuse, family of origin trauma, toxic relationships, divorce, and dual diagnosis. I hold an honors degree from Loyola University Chicago (2011) and am a certified Narcissistic Abuse Clinician, trained through Dr. Ramani's program. My combination of personal insights and years of clinical work with diverse populations enables me to create a space where clients feel deeply understood. I am known for my direct yet compassionate approach, and clients appreciate my honesty and thoughtful curiosity throughout the therapeutic process. Using psychodynamic techniques, I help you connect your subconscious and past trauma to current dysfunctional patterns, dismantle those, and redirect them to a more neutral space.
In the first session, we will conduct your intake which is gathering information about your personal history. Some of the questions may feel uncomfortable. If that happens, we can pass on those and revisit later when you're more comfortable with me. Together, we will build a treatment plan that addresses your goals and needs. The progress on this is revisited every few months. Then we discuss if the two of us are a good fit. It's so important to have a good relationship with your therapist. If you say yes then we proceed to our sessions.
In my 10+ years working in community mental health, I’ve supported individuals navigating complex relational trauma and abuse. I assist clients in making connections between childhood and current interpersonal functioning. I help them understand what subconsciously drives them and how to break intergenerational trauma. My therapeutic approach integrates attachment-based, CBT, and psychodynamic modalities. A key part of our work together will involve revealing the roots of negative thought patterns. You will experience revelations, uncover unconscious behaviors, and rediscover your true identity. My style is direct, challenging clients while offering empathy and support. I strive to create an inclusive space for all. I am inquisitive, asking questions that may lead to better insight and awareness. Awareness is the first door that opens the possibility for change.
I am direct and challenge clients while also being empathetic. I do well with clients who are insightful and motivated. Many clients approach me asking why they experiencing their current circumstances and how to improve them. I help them rebuild their lives, reaching a healthier, more grounded space.
We all have experiences growing up that inevitably cause negative thought patterns. I emphasize the role of the unconscious mind in shaping thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We may focus on exploring early childhood experiences, repressed memories.
I will work with you on identifying negative thought patterns caused by your subconscious or early childhood and learn ways to change your thinking so you can heal from destructive cycles. When are you able to heal from the past or let go, positive change is possible.
The relationship between infant and caregiver is vital. We explore what your attachment was to your caregivers growing up and how this may influence your current functioning. Without proper attachment, it can cause trauma and mistrust. We will work together to help your form healthier relationships and trust in others.
When we experience abuse or trauma, it can be life shattering. Our identity can slip away. It can feel like the outside world is crushing us. Outside influences seem to drive how you feel on the inside. If you are in distress about your identity or purpose, we will work through how the past has influenced where you are today, the importance of free will and how to gain your power back from outside forces. The focus of this style of therapy is the pursuit of empowerment.
This therapy also explores early experiences and how they shape current functioning. This type of therapy also connect subconscious thoughts and motivations with current dysfunctional dynamics.
