Hello, my name is Keisha Gordon-Primus FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC. I am a double board-certified psychiatric mental health and family nurse practitioner in Florida. I have been in the medical field for over 20 years and have been practicing in psychiatry for the past eight years. I am certified and experienced in treating clients across the lifespan, I specialize in adolescent and adult psychiatry, a variety of psychiatric illnesses including major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, attention deficit/ hyperactive disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, insomnia. I recognize the unique circumstances of each of my clients and strive to educate them and their families about their conditions. This holistic approach enables me to deliver compassionate and high-quality care that addresses not just the symptoms, but the overall wellbeing of my clients.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

On your first visit, a 60-minute psychiatric evaluation is conducted to help me understand your mental health concerns, symptoms, and overall functioning. We will discuss a working diagnosis (things can always change!) and a treatment plan to help decrease symptoms. This often includes medication, therapy, coping skills, and lifestyle changes. We will work as a team to create an individualized plan that will work for you. ​

My approach is defined by empathy, knowledge, effective communication, and a patient-centered philosophy. I possess a deep understanding and compassion for my patients, which is crucial in building trust and enhancing patient outcomes. My goal is to promote understanding and acceptance of mental health conditions, thereby contributing to the eradication of the stigma associated with them. Through this comprehensive and empathetic approach, I aim to enhance the well-being and quality of life of my patients and the community.
