About me

I’m a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly seven years of experience providing therapy to individuals, teens, and families. I offer sessions in both English and Spanish, creating an inclusive, culturally responsive space where clients feel truly heard, supported, and empowered. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered, tailored to each person’s unique needs and strengths. I work with those navigating a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship issues. My goal is to support healing and resilience while honoring each client’s journey and identity.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is all about getting to know you—your story, your goals, and what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask some questions about your background, current challenges, and what you’re hoping to get out of our work together. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—this is your space, and we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. We’ll also talk about how I work, what therapy might look like with me, and answer any questions you may have about the process. It’s a chance for both of us to explore whether this feels like a good fit, and to start building the foundation of a supportive and trusting relationship. By the end of the session, my goal is for you to feel heard, understood, and a little more grounded. We’ll begin identifying your goals and what steps we might take together to help you reach them.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and accepted. I bring a culturally responsive, bilingual approach to therapy, which allows me to connect deeply with individuals from diverse backgrounds. My clients often share that they feel safe and supported in our work together, which helps them open up and make meaningful progress. I tailor each session to meet the unique needs of the person in front of me, drawing from evidence-based modalities like CBT, IPT, mindfulness, and strengths-based practices. I’m skilled at helping clients increase emotional insight, build practical coping skills, and improve their relationships and sense of self. Through a compassionate and collaborative approach, I support clients in developing resilience and creating lasting, positive change in their lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals, teens, and families who are ready to explore their inner world and make meaningful changes in their lives. I work especially well with those navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients are looking to better understand themselves, improve communication in their relationships, or heal from painful experiences. Some may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected—but they’re open to engaging in a supportive and collaborative therapeutic process. I also enjoy working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, including bilingual and bicultural individuals, and those seeking a therapist who honors their identity and lived experiences. Whether you're looking for tools to cope, space to process, or support in building a more fulfilling life, I'm here to walk alongside you in that journey.

My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

I began using Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in 2019 and became certified in the model in 2020. Since then, I have consistently used TF-CBT in my clinical work with children and adolescents who have experienced various forms of trauma, including abuse, neglect, grief, and exposure to violence. I find the structured, evidence-based nature of TF-CBT especially effective in helping clients process traumatic experiences in a developmentally appropriate way. I utilize the full PRACTICE components of the model—Psychoeducation, Relaxation, Affective expression and modulation, Cognitive coping, Trauma narrative development and processing, In vivo exposure, Conjoint parent–child sessions, and Enhancing future safety and development. I tailor the approach based on each client’s developmental stage and cultural context, while maintaining fidelity to the model. I also involve caregivers as active participants in the process, which I’ve found to be crucial for sustained progress. TF-CBT has become a cornerstone of my trauma treatment work, and I continue to engage in ongoing learning to enhance my practice.

Interpersonal

I began using Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) in 2019 and became certified in 2020. Since then, I’ve integrated IPT into my clinical practice, particularly with clients experiencing depression, grief, or interpersonal difficulties. I’ve found it to be especially effective in helping clients identify and address patterns in their relationships and improve communication skills. One of the key outcomes I've observed is an increase in clients’ social support, which in turn enhances their overall emotional well-being. IPT’s structured, time-limited approach allows clients to make meaningful progress in a relatively short time, and I continue to use it regularly as part of my therapeutic toolkit.
