LCSW, 32 years of experience
New to Grow
I have been a licensed clinical social worker for 28 years. I chose a social work career to support and help others who find themselves in difficult situations. I'll help you identify your strengths, set attainable goals, and work with you to address feelings of anxiety or depression. As a Certified Happiness Trainer, I have a particular interest in happiness and well-being, and would be glad to incorporate this into our work if you wish.
We'll engage in conversation to establish positive communication. I'll listen to you so we can focus on prioritizing and addressing your immediate concerns. The goal for you after this session is to feel motivated to fully engage in the therapeutic process.
With nearly 30 years experience as a licensed clinical social worker, I have successfully addressed the mental health needs of the individuals I have served using various treatment modalities. Beyond that, I have helped others experience greater happiness and well-being. My approach is not only to address distress, but to help people live their best lives.
My focus areas include anxiety, coping skills, depression, job stress, stress, and self-esteem.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to understand how clients' thoughts affect their feelings and behaviors. This helps me tailor individualized treatment goals and interventions.
I help clients identify the type of loss and help them find positive coping skills.
I help clients understand the importance of happiness and assist them in identifying and applying happiness boosting activities. In addition, my approach includes discussing the building blocks of well-being.
By focusing on the client's strengths, resources, and goals rather than problems, we work together to identify preferred outcomes. Using interventions like the miracle question and review of past successes, we can focus on small, achievable actions.
I help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts that create distress. We work together to find more helpful thoughts that lead to healthier thinking and behavior.
