Hello, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. I received my master's degree from the University of Southern California and have been practicing and supervising therapists for over 22 years. I assist adults struggling with depression, anxiety and life transitions to reach their goals for mental health well-being, to make positive changes towards personal growth and healing.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will work together to discuss and identify the factors that contributed to your desire to seek therapy. We will discuss your strengths and explore challenges, as we work together to identify and implement specific goals geared towards improving your mental health and overall well-being and begin the process of developing an initial treatment plan that will assist in meeting your goals for sessions in the future.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have years of experience in working with a diverse client population. I am empathic and my practice is always client centered, geared to support and assist the client in reaching their identified goals through collaboration and open communication. My goal is to build trust and offer a safe space to identify and explore the underlying problems and stressors and assist the client on their healing journey by utilizing compassion and evidenced based treatment practices to support a positive and successful therapeutic experience.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use this treatment method to assist in identifying underlying unhelpful thoughts and behaviors and to assist in developing practical coping skills and strategies to address symptoms related to anxiety, depression and trauma.

Motivational Interviewing

I use this intervention strategy to address physical, behavioral and mental health concerns including substance use, alcohol abuse, diabetes control, obesity prevention, smoking cessation etc., by assisting clients to find their own reasons to make positive changes to improve their overall well-being. This process allows the client autonomy in making the decision to evoke sustainable changes by exploring the discrepancy between current distress and future goals.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use this treatment modality to assist clients experiencing difficulty in managing their emotions related Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression, and anxiety by focusing on maladaptive coping measures and introducing tools to assist clients in developing healthier coping measures to improve emotional and affect regulation and replace unhelpful behaviors.
