Life is challenging, you don’t need to navigate it by yourself. If you are bewildered and unsure of your life path, experiencing strained relationships, having difficulty “keeping up” and continually feeling overwhelmed, you are not alone. These are questions that many of my clients are searching for answers to. Life comes with many responsibilities and can be challenging to navigate. Children, adolescents and adults are becoming discouraged, lacking motivation, and frustrated by their commitments. Here are a few of the issues that I assist my clients with; I help children develop their social skills, and how to problem-solve situations, I help adolescents examine their choices in life and how to manage their emotions, and I work with adults to find purpose in life and develop self-care. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I will help guide you to identify your current concerns and to learn about your past to help us with the present. I will help identify your strengths and explore ways to use them to address life’s questions and challenges. Together we will formulate goals to address during our sessions.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My approach to counseling is client-centered, meaning we will address the issues that are most important to you. As we work together, we will unravel the answers to your questions to achieve your goals, and help you find balance, peace, and happiness.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My clients thank me for being caring, accepting, supportive, motivating, humorous, and being “their rock”. I honor my clients’ bravery in seeking ways to gain insight and fulfillment in their lives. I am passionate about the work that I do and helping facilitate the transformation of my clients.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As a therapist for many years, I have found CBT to be a successful treatment for my clients who are experiencing negative thoughts and feelings, which is impacting their behaviors. This type of treatment is a collaborative approach with a focus on the present. Effective coping skills will be identified, and progress will be monitored.

Relational

In order for therapy to be effective I have to develop a therapeutic relationship with my clients. It is important to develop trust in order to be able to support and guide my clients. I use a strength-based perspective by identifying clients' strengths in order to assist with achieving their goals.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

In order to get in touch with our emotions we need to understand the connection between our emotions, our mind and our body. Understanding how these areas are interconnected and techniques to calm each area can bring us peace and better understanding of ourselves and our relationship with others.
