Hi! I'm a LCMHC in the state of NC and I offer virtual sessions throughout the state. I have been practicing for 10 years with public and private practices. My experiences include Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, and Borderline Personality Disorder. I offer support and meet each client where they are, while helping clients be the best that they can be. Accountability, although challenging, is a very important part of therapy. Working together, we can develop that accountability and help you grow to where you want to be.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will be a "get to know each other" session. We will be discussing what has led you to therapy, as well as background information. I won't be the only one asking questions though! You will also get a chance to ask me questions so that we can determine if I am a good fit for you and what you are looking for in a therapist. Therapy works best when you are comfortable and feel supported. We will be a team and working together to help you tackle life's challenges.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am a very laid back therapist and person in general. Therapy can be uncomfortable at times. I want to help you work through those uncomfortable feelings. In order to do that, you need to be able to trust me as your therapist! We will work together to build that trust. I am a patient, open-minded therapist who wants to help you develop the tools to learn and grow as a person. Being genuine and authentic are so important in the therapeutic relationship and things that I pride myself in being.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy caun be very beneficial as it focuses on 4 modules/areas- Emotional Regulation, Distress Tolerance, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and Mindfulness. We focus strictly on DBT skills to help you reach your goals to improve your life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT can help people become more aware of negative or inaccurate thinking patterns, which can help them respond to difficult situations more effectively

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT is based on the idea that healing comes from accepting emotions instead of trying to get rid of them. It uses mindfulness and acceptance strategies, along with commitment and behavior-change strategies, to help people stay focused on the present moment and move forward through difficult emotions.
