Are you weighed down with feelings of stress, anxiety and depression? Everyone at some point faces difficult times and upsetting emotions. I am here to help. Your life is unique and your story matters. My goal as a therapist is to hold a compassionate and non-judgmental space for you and to support you in moving beyond the places that can make you feel stuck. I can support you in understanding and exploring your inner world and how you can relate to your past and your fears with curiosity, kindness, and courage. By becoming aware of the negative and often unrealistic thoughts that hinder our potential we can engage in healthier thinking patterns, ultimately allowing for positive change and even thriving to occur. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adults struggling with life’s stressors. I bring an integrated approach that allows processing experiences and feelings in a safe and comfortable manner. My intention as a therapist is to provide space for you to feel heard, help you discover your strengths, identify what you want, and learn the tools to get you moving forward on your healing journey.
I support clients with expanding their understanding of themselves in a shame-free environment. Goals and needs can change throughout the therapeutic process so treatment expectancies are fluid. Based on particular needs, I support clients with setting and reaching goals in an attainable and realistic way that honors readiness for change. I encourage clients to share what they are comfortable with and I challenge clients with respect and kindness.
I currently provide individual therapy services to adults experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, issues with self-esteem, and those wanting to improve relationships, navigate life-changes and gain a greater self-awareness. Through a non-pathologizing, strengths-based and empathic lens, I supports clients in exploring their many parts and areas of their lives where they are seeking change. I incorporate my training in Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Self-compassion and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
I understand the importance of feeling heard and validated. My approach is gentle and I value direct, clear and positive communication during sessions. The therapeutic relationship is collaborative where feedback is provided and also welcomed.
