Hi! My name is Tracie Roberson and I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Texas. In 2009 I retired from the United States Army and in 2012 received my Master’s degree from Webster University. I work with adults of all ages dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD and trauma. I help clients by providing them with a safe space in which to process emotions and gain valuable tools that can become apart of their emotional toolbox.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session together will be introductory allowing us to get to know each other, during brief introductions. We will also discuss specific challenges you're facing, allowing me to create a treatment plan tailored to your personal needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have found in the last twelve years of working with clients living with mental turmoil, a supportive therapeutic environment makes all the difference in the world. As a result of creating a safe space in which clients can process difficult emotions, they become further able to change their circumstances by altering their thought life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Our thought patterns shape our entire world. The Bible supports that supposition in the 23rd Proverb, "As a man thinketh in his heart so is he". Cognitive Behavior Therapy assists with achieving thought patterns that builds the self up rather than tearing it down. Techniques such as reframing and seeing oneself in the best possible light tend to assist with positive behavioral activation resulting in positive change. In my 12 year practice I have had the privilege of accompanying many on the journey from despair to repair to flourishing.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Along with Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy is utilized to invite clients to choose to see themselves in the solution and not the problem. Solution Focused helps to realign the client's thought processes in a way that is forward thinking and full of hope for promising productive futures.
