I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a great passion for helping others with warmth, creativity and a sprinkle of humor. With sharp insight and adept listening skills, I want to help you set and achieve goals that will lead you to holistic health - mind, body and spirit. I work with clients of all backgrounds and, at this time ages, 10 and up.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is about determining if we can work well together. My goal is to address questions and concerns my clients have, because I know taking those first steps to take care of yourself is extremely important but this whole process can be daunting. I have a series of questions I need to ask, but I work to create a warm and inviting environment. And if you feel like you don't click with me, there is no pressure. My hope, and my encouragement, is to find a therapist you know you'll work well with! I do recommend attending at least three sessions with any provider to determine if it'll be a good working relationship, and I can clarify why with a consultation or in that first session.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My goal is to be genuine and honest at all times with my clients, to join together with my clients in a partnership for their mental health, and to approach difficult topics with compassion and understanding.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is the most evidence based practice for mental health treatments and is one that I pull from primarily for treatment in Anxiety and Depression. I like to utilize specific techniques from this method that are helpful for managing negative thinking and feelings and adjusting behaviors to healthier patterns.

Reality Therapy

Reality Therapy is based in Choice Theory which is my primary theoretical orientation. The focus on choice that comes with reality therapy is empowering and help with shifting our mindset to be able to implement those techniques from CBT.

Faith based therapy

I am trained in Spiritually Integrative practice. Research shows that integrating faith is an important component for managing symptoms of many mental health issues, as a source of strength and hope.
