Counseling has always been a passion of mine. As my love for helping others has grown, so has my passion, which led me to get state licensure to practice as a licensed mental health professional. I have worked with adults and children in a therapeutic setting. As a licensed professional counselor and mental health therapist, I possess a passion for emotional wellness and self care. It is my belief that counseling is about serving others and through creating a safe space, compassion and relationship building we can work together to ensure that you reach your own personal goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the initial session I will ask background questions and gather more information about the reason you are seeking therapy. We will also discuss family and relationship dynamics and work together to gain an overall idea of your personal goals. I aim to make the first session a positive experience and oftentimes my clients admit to feeling better after their initial session.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Building a positive working relationship is essential starting from the initial session. I provide my clients with different perspectives so that they can make their own informed decisions. My belief is that the therapeutic process is a non judgmental collaborative effort. I work to ensure that the environment is comfortable so that you can feel free to discuss whatever concerns you may have.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Using solution focused therapy to calm the mind, face ones fears and role play. Me and the client work together in collaboration to understand the problem and develop strategies for treatment.

Humanistic

In therapy my clients are the focus. We utilize self discovery and free will to help clients to explore their feelings, find meaning and develop their strengths to overcome whatever the current issue.

Eclectic

In therapy it is difficult to use a one size fits all approach. Therefore, with different clients it is imperative that I use various methods to provide the most effective means of treatment.
