Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapist (C-DBT). I'm from Long Island, NY-- but am now living in North Carolina. I received my Master's Degree from The University of South Carolina and have been practicing for 11 years. I enjoy helping individuals work through day-to-day life issues and stressors while teaching new ways to cope, process and manage life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, raport building, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. Most importantly, I just want to see you and hear you. The REAL, raw, authentic you! I will provide a safe place for you to let it go and hopefully walk away feeling a lighter mentally and hopeful of change.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am a Therapist that enjoys thinking outside of the box. I'm not your typical "cookie cutter/textbook Therapist". I believe in taking different approaches for different people and I work WITH my clients and listen to their input and desires, in order to create a quality Care Plan. I enjoy being myself. I am fun, outgoing, empathetic, genuine and a very positive person. I have been told by past clients that people seem to connect better with me just by, "keeping it real and being honest".

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

When working with clients my structured approach is from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) where the individual learns to explore the link between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. CBT approaches includes: cognitive restructuring, guided discovery, journaling (automatic thought record), relaxation, role playing, and behavioral activation activities.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior is a technique to better support clients experiencing anxiety symptoms and many other symptoms. DBT focuses on improving distress tolerance, emotional regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal skills.
