About me

Hi, I’m Kelsey — a licensed professional counselor with over 10 years of experience. I’m passionate about helping people navigate anxiety, stress and life transitions with greater ease and self-compassion. My approach is collaborative, nonjudgmental and centered around creating a space where you can feel truly seen, heard and supported. Together, we’ll explore what’s happening beneath the surface, recognize patterns that may be holding you back, and uncover new insights to help you move forward. I believe therapy is a place to rediscover your strengths and learn practical tools that fit who you are. Taking that first step toward therapy can feel intimidating, but you don’t have to do it alone. I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you create the changes you’re hoping for.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation for your growth. You can expect a warm, welcoming environment where you can share what’s on your mind at your own pace. I’ll listen with care and curiosity, and together we’ll make sense of what feels challenging right now. I focus on creating a space where you feel supported and understood, while offering tools and insights to help you feel more confident and hopeful about the changes you want to make. My goal is for you to leave that first session feeling seen, encouraged and ready to take the next step on your journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I became a therapist because I’m passionate about helping people and truly believe that everyone deserves to experience joy and fulfillment, no matter what they’re going through. Over the past 10 years, I’ve developed the skills and techniques to help clients find the relief and support they’re looking for. More than anything, I want to create a space where you feel safe, seen and heard. In our sessions, we can explore what feels difficult, uncover the strengths you already have and develop the skills to move forward and create the changes you want in your life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m passionate about working with teens and adults who feel stressed, overwhelmed or uncertain about their next steps — especially when these challenges start to get in the way of living the life you want. This can show up as anxiety, low mood or a sense of being stuck in life’s transitions. I particularly enjoy supporting pregnant women, new moms and mothers at any stage of motherhood, helping you navigate the unique joys, pressures and changes that come with this period of life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help you see how your thoughts, feelings and behaviors are connected. Together, we’ll explore patterns that may be holding you back and work on practical ways to shift them. This might include challenging unhelpful thoughts, practicing new coping strategies or trying small changes in your daily routine. My goal is to help you feel more confident, navigate life’s challenges with less stress and develop skills that empower you moving forward.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe the foundation of therapy is feeling truly seen and heard. I use person-centered therapy to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can feel safe exploring the challenges you’re facing. Our work is guided by your goals and experiences, honoring that each client’s journey is unique.

Psychoeducation

I bring psychoeducation into our work to help you understand what you’re experiencing and why. This understanding gives you practical tools and strategies to better manage challenges and support your growth both in and outside of therapy.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use mindfulness-based therapy to help you tune into your thoughts, feelings and body in a nonjudgmental way. This practice can help you feel more present, reduce stress and respond to challenges with greater calm and clarity. Together, we’ll explore simple techniques you can use both in session and in your everyday life.

Somatic

I also use somatic therapy to help you connect with your body and notice how physical sensations relate to your emotions. This can help release tension, process feelings more fully and build a greater sense of grounding and calm in your everyday life.

Kelsey is always open to first , listening to whatever is going on with me & then also making it into a discussion (which i love!) Then she uses tools or practices to help in that situation or circumstance. I really appreciate her practical & mental tools and homework she gives. I always left a session feeling like I had a tool to aid in whatever I was going through. Shes down- to-earth and warm hearted as a bonus!
