"Hi there, I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Texas, and I've been helping people navigate life's ups and downs for the past six years. Whether you're feeling burnt out, stressed, or facing big changes, I'm here to lend an ear and offer support. Dealing with overwhelming sadness or anxiety? You're not alone—I'm here to help with that too. And for those in the military or first responder community, I understand the unique challenges you face, and I'm here to provide a safe space to work through it all. If you're ready to take that step towards feeling better, let's connect and start this journey together."

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

"In our first session together, we'll use that time to delve deeper into your current difficulties. It's an opportunity for me to get to know you better—to understand your unique experiences, what has worked well for you in the past, and what you hope to achieve through our sessions. Your expectations and goals are important to me, as they shape the support and guidance I provide. Together, we'll work to create a personalized plan that aligns with your needs and aspirations, setting the foundation for our journey towards healing and growth."

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

"My approach as a provider is rooted in authenticity and genuine connection. With the education and training to support your healing journey, I strive to make our sessions feel like meaningful conversations rather than one-sided discussions. Your voice and experiences are valued, and I'm here to listen, understand, and guide you through your journey towards healing and growth."

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice as a mental health professional, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand and manage their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through collaborative sessions, I identify negative thinking patterns and teach practical skills to challenge and replace them. My goal is to empower clients to actively participate in their healing process, ultimately achieving lasting improvements in their mental well-being.

EMDR

In my practice, I am trained to employ Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as a powerful treatment modality to assist clients in processing traumatic experiences and reducing distress associated with past traumas. Through EMDR sessions, I guide clients in accessing and reprocessing distressing memories, thoughts, and feelings, while simultaneously engaging in bilateral stimulation such as eye movements, taps, or sounds. This process facilitates the adaptive processing of traumatic memories, enabling clients to integrate them more effectively and alleviate associated symptoms like anxiety, depression, and intrusive thoughts. By fostering a safe and supportive therapeutic environment, I collaborate with clients to identify target memories and develop coping skills to manage emotional reactions. Ultimately, EMDR empowers clients to unlock their innate capacity for healing and promotes resolution of trauma-related symptoms, leading to greater emotional resilience and improved overall well-being.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

In my practice, I utilize Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients identify their strengths and resources, and to collaboratively develop practical solutions to their current challenges. By focusing on clients' goals and what they want to achieve rather than dwelling on past problems, SFBT encourages a forward-looking and solution-oriented approach. Through guided conversations and questioning techniques, I assist clients in envisioning their desired outcomes and identifying small, achievable steps towards reaching them. SFBT emphasizes clients' resilience and ability to enact positive change, allowing for efficient and effective progress towards their desired goals.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

In my practice, I implement Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to assist clients in developing skills to manage intense emotions, improve interpersonal relationships, and enhance overall quality of life. Through a combination of individual and group sessions, I teach mindfulness techniques to help clients become more aware of their emotions and reactions in the present moment. Additionally, I incorporate distress tolerance skills to help clients cope with crises and regulate overwhelming emotions effectively. With a focus on validation and acceptance, I work collaboratively with clients to address problematic behaviors and thought patterns while encouraging self-compassion and personal growth. By fostering a supportive and validating therapeutic environment, DBT empowers clients to cultivate resilience and make positive changes in their lives.
