Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Los Angeles. I have been a practicing therapist for five years and have been working in mental health for ten years. I support clients in finding authenticity, meaning, and better relationships/community. I use a systemic lens that incorporates how we our affected by all our environments and the trauma that can come from that.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Connection is the basis of the therapeutic relationship and developing a sense of safety and trust is always my first priority. It will be a collaborative experience of exploring your history, what brought you in, and where you want to go. I am mindful about where you are at in your process and the speed you are comfortable with. I will have questions in mind but will adapt to whatever the session calls for.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I love people and I love building relationships. My clients tend to report feeling comfortable with me quickly which creates an environment where it feels more natural to share deep and personal things. I am very open minded and non-judgmental which is essential for addressing shame. Through years of practice, I have developed a strong intuition and am skilled at helping people connect the dots so they have a deeper understanding of patterns and harmful behaviors. This understanding leads to change.

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

A psychodynamic approach helps us dig deeper into ourselves, our behaviors, thoughts, feelings, etc in order to gain greater insight into ourselves so that we can approach life consciously and intentionally. To deepen our understanding of ourselves, our behavior, and how it is impacted by our environments, we must dig deeper than what is on the surface. This is the foundation of my practice and will be the container we work in.

Compassion Focused

We are, at our core, relational beings. Mental illness grows in isolation, separateness, rigidity and shame. Connection is necessary for true transformation and compassion is the key to connection. Shame cannot exist in a connected, compassionate heart. By softening our hearts to ourselves and others, we live in a kinder and more approachable world. I use the practice of compassion to shine light on the ways we weaponize our shame against ourselves, freeing ourselves from limited beliefs.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS is the framework that we have multiple sub-personalities that we call "parts". All of our parts have unique wants, needs, roles, and perspectives. These parts can work in harmony but often due to challenging life experiences, they can begin the work against each other. I use the concept of parts to explore different aspects of ourselves and heal discordant relationships between them in order to have a more harmonious internal world.

Attachment-based

We develop our attachment styles in early childhood modeled after our attachment to our caregiver(s). If our needs are not met as children, they follow us into adulthood. Attached based therapy explores how our attachment styles were formed and how to gain inner and outer resources to address our unmet needs. I use this framework to empower clients to develop relational skills that leads to deeper and more secure relationships.

Existential

Humans have always questioned their place in the world. Why are we here? What happens when we die? Does free will exist? What is my role in this world? These questions can be the foundation of hour we operate in the world. I create space for clients to explore these questions and how to find meaning in a seemingly chaotic world. With meaning, we can be intentional about how we navigate life and integrate our authenticity.
