Hi there, I'm Chelsy. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a mother of two living in Los Angeles. Due to my own personal difficulties in pregnancy, birth and postpartum I have become passionate about supporting those who are pregnant, have given birth, post-partum, and their partners.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Working with me you can expect a warm, safe, and judgement free space to have honest and transparent conversations, process experiences, and practice coping tools to be the best possible version of yourself.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked as a therapist for the past 7 years, I have found that clients appreciate my judgment free and honest approach. I strive to create a comfortable therapeutic environment for my clients to feel safe to be open and vulnerable.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with those who are pregnant or postpartum and navigating that fulfilling yet challenging and sometimes overwhelming stage of early parenthood. I have additional training in supporting those who have experienced perinatal loss. I also offer couples support for birth persons and their partners.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use elements of CBT to help my clients challenge negative thinking that is unhelpful to their well-being.

Strength-Based

I use a strength-based approach to empower my clients throughout treatment. There is so much that comes with being a parent and I have found that it often feels like an isolating and "thankless" job. Discussing strengths and celebrating accomplishments can help empower clients to be their most confident selves.

Grief Therapy

I have training in supporting clients through their grief and loss journey after experiencing infant and/or perinatal loss. I approach this in a nurturing way to allow clients to be vulnerable in a judgment free environment.
