In a society that encourages us to disconnect from oursevles, it can be difficult to tap into who we are and what we need to be truly happy in life. My biggest joy in being a healer/wellness worker is teaching people how to connect with and come home to themselves. Because that process looks different for everyone, it’s important for us, as therapists, to be able to witness, learn, and connect with every client in their wholeness, without judgment and without expectation. This is something I aim to do individually with each client I work with. During our time together, we will work on your personalized goals, but we will also… -Share laughs and spend time building rapport -Address stressors in your daily life such as work/school, intimate relationships, friendships, family, etc. -Explore your identity and belief systems -Practice self-validation through taking ownership of experiences, feelings, and needs -Unpack individual, inter-generational, societal, and cultural traumas, and explore how those experiences impact you, consciously and unconsciously -Practice slowing down and being present so that you can witness yourself in any given moment (how you feel, what your needs are, what you think of your thoughts, etc). -Explore if there is an underlying neurodivergence that explains how you observe and interact with the world -Learn to challenge societal norms and traditional constructs that may be out of alignment with the authentic you (including norms/concepts that exist in traditional, Western therapy) -Practice accepting areas of yourself and your life that you cannot change while learning how to implement healthy control over things you can change -Assess how systems of oppression impact/have impacted you and how those systems may relate to your individual needs and stressors -Practice self-observation and self-curiosity -Work towards living a more conscious life by developing insight and self-awareness

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Sessions are an intuitive process that focus on connection, exploring your needs, and taking a deeper look at your strengths and areas of improvement. Some of the questions we may explore in our sessions are... -Do you feel you are living in alignment with your innermost needs and values? -Do you know how to identify and honor feelings as life brings them to you? -Are you engaging in daily wellness practices that allow you to ground and regulate? -Are you connected to community? And do those relationships provide you with true safety and support? -Do you show yourself the same amount of love and compassion as you show to others? ...

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My ability to connect with clients in ways that are both safe and intimate, while providing space for them to practice existing, expressing, and exploring themselves in their wholeness.

My treatment methods

Transpersonal

No matter what aspect of your life we are focusing on, my underlying aim will always be on helping you to access and accept yourself in your wholeness. Transpersonal Therapy allows us to witness and build relationship with ourselves on all levels; past, current, and future. Working with me means our therapeutic journey will be filled with self-discovery - mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically, socially, creatively, and intellectually.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Knowing how to accept and understand ourselves in our wholeness includes knowing how to accept and understand our feelings in their wholeness. Together, we will identify skills and tools that will allow you to better identify, navigate, and build comfort with your emotions (even the uncomfy ones).

Trauma Informed Care

We live in a complex world where we are met with tons of complex experiences. My number one goal as a therapist is providing you with a safe, well-integrated, and non-judgmental space to land. Within that space, we will begin learning and acknowledging how your personal experiences effect/have effected you, as well as ways to heal from those experiences.

Somatic

We often lack understanding of how intelligent our physical bodies are, as well as how they interact with our mind, heart, and spirit. Our bodies hold memories, emotions, and scared knowledge, and they can tell us a lot about our needs. With use of somatic approaches, we will explore ways to fully observe and integrate your physical body into your healing experience in order to soothe and regulate anxiety, stress responses, nervous system dysregulation, etc.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Understanding cultural struggles and intersectionality is a crucial part of providing safe and responsible support and advocacy for people, which is our primary job as therapists. This being said, anyone looking to begin therapy should be ensuring that the professionals they are seeking to work with are not individuals who will cause them harm. One of the values I uphold as a culturally-sensitive therapist is ensuring that people looking to work with me are aware, upfront, of my stances on social issues, ethics, political systems, etc. I pride myself on being a member and/or ally of marginalized groups, including, but not limited to: -People of Color -LBGTQIA+ community members -Women/Women-identifying individuals -Individuals experiencing disability/chronic illness -Individuals existing in plus-sized bodies -Individuals who experience the world through neurodiverse lenses -Individuals who have lived-experiences in disenfranchised socio-economic groups -Individuals who have experienced systemic/religious trauma, etc.
