Welcome! I'm Rhonda and congratulations on taking a step forward for you. I'm a Board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who had previously worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I have 4 years of outpatient psychiatric experience and I received my education at Nova Southeastern University and University of Detroit Mercy. I specialize in Depression, OCD, Insomnia, ADHD, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), and Substance Abuse. Let's meet in-person or via Telemedicine - whichever is more suited for you!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

We will look at the goal(s) of treatment. What I like to do with patients is that of partnering -- joint goals. Yet, the best outcome for you will be when you are willing to make changes. Meaning, that you are ready to adopt the plan, do the plan, check back in on the plan, and if there are gaps -- that you act on the plan by "tweaking" it. It is a process -- and it important to not let medication be the only answer.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My philosophy to mental health is that you are going to get out of it -- what you are willing to put into it. At the same time, I’m ready to meet you where you are. I thrive on problem-solving and look forward to doing that with you.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My approach to care is to meet you where you are. Ideally, you are ready for a holistic approach that focuses on supplements, therapy, TMS, and regular exercise. Yet, not everyone has the time and dedication to do just that -- that's where medication(s) can assist.

My treatment methods

Somatic

Assists in helping individuals become more aware of their bodily sensations and using this awareness to process and release emotional or psychological issues.

Psychodynamic

Looks at the present moment of experiences -- the environmental and social aspects of a person's life. It is becoming more self-aware and taking responsibility for the challenges one is facing instead of placing blame.

Humanistic

An approach to help gain more control over your life and pursue your full potential utilizing empathy and understanding on your way to growth.

Integrative

Utilizes a holistic approach and is tailored to the unique needs and preferences a patient may have. It captures the emotional, physical, and social aspects of care to help progress and offers flexibility/adaptability of treatment goals.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

It helps patients identify negative thoughts patterns and beliefs that are contributing to emotional distress.
