New to Grow
In my therapy practice, I seek to hold space for clients, the space in which it is safe to explore previously hidden aspects of self. It is my greatest passion in life to see clients heal from the inside out. I see the act of seeking therapy, in order to embark on a path toward personal-growth and greater effectiveness in all aspects of life, as a sign of strength and health. I believe that through acceptance, many issues may be better resolved as they are brought into the light of awareness.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
I provide a balance in session between a client’s desire for behavioral change and also radial acceptance. In our first session, I will answer any questions you may have for me and I will seek to start to get to know you. We might be able to come up with some therapy goals together in the first session.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strength as a therapist is that I genuinely like and care deeply for my clients. I am also transparent: I let you in step by step to the therapeutic process.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
It is my job to provide a safe space for my clients, to meet them with unconditional positive regard, and to walk with each of them on their paths to healing and a sense of meaning and wholeness in their lives. My therapeutic approach is holistic: seeing clients as intricate and multifaceted individuals.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I employ the tools of DBT to build skills around: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Using DBT, I help my clients manage their relationships and cope with intense emotions. We explore the dialectic between a desire for change and radical acceptance.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
We explore thoughts and useful ways to challenge and reframe those that are destructive.
Grief Therapy
It is my honor to walk beside those grieving and hold space for them in this time.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
We identify inner parts of self and develop a better understanding of each as we strengthen the relationship with the core self.
Psychoeducation
I am transparent with clients: telling them how my education informs me in regards to analysis of cognitive and behavioral patterns.
