(she/her)
Hello! I am a Licensed Clinician Social Worker based in California and have been practicing for 12 years. I help individuals (Ages 13+) who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma/PTSD become the best versions of themselves. I approach each person with respect, empathy, and compassion. Embarking on the journey toward a more fulfilling and joyful life takes great courage, and I’m here to guide you through the first steps of this transformative change.
In our first session together, we'll start with an intake which is a tool where I gather information about you and the specific challenges you're facing that brought you to seek therapy. This will help me tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
With 12 years of experience providing mental health services to clients with severe and persistent mental illnesses, I am equipped and committed to supporting you on your healing path. My training and experience enable me with a special perspective on delivering compassionate care that is grounded in effective, evidence-based techniques.
I strive to provide trauma-informed services by creating a safe and supportive environment that minimizes the risk of re-traumatization, and empowering clients to heal from past traumatic experiences. I also enjoy working with clients experiencing postpartum depression and anxiety, life transitions, grief and loss, relationship and marital conflicts, difficulties with boundary setting, and first-generation stress.
I was trained in CBT in 2018. I use this modality to assist clients with changing unhealthy thought patterns and behaviors often triggered by depression and anxiety.
I was trained in CPT in 2021. CPT helps people identify negative and unhelpful thoughts that are caused by trauma and PTSD. This modality also assists with recognizing how trauma has changed a person's view of themselves, others, and the world because of trauma.
I was trained in Prolonged Exposure in 2017 by Dr. Edna Foa. Prolonged Exposure is a type of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) that assists people gradually approach and confront trauma-related memories, feelings, and situations.
Solution Focused is short-term approach that focuses on identifying and building solutions to a client's problems by emphasizing their strengths and resources, rather than dwelling on the details of the problem itself, concentrating on the present and future goals instead of the past.
