I am a bilingual LMFT. In 1991 I obtained a B.H in Social Psychology from The Universidad Autonoma de Baja California (Mexico). In 2008, I graduated from University of Phoenix with a M.A in Marriage, Family, and Child therapy. I have more than 20 years working with patients (adolescents, parents, adults, and couples) to improve relationships, mental and/or emotional issues related with depression, anxiety, phobias, traumas, psychosocial stressors and life challenges and goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session my primary goal is to stablish the therapeutic relationship, where you could feel safe and comfortable to start exploring issues, needs, goals and your strengths. I believe that the change, health, and progress is always possible if we work focus on that so I emphasize the use of action plans or assignments to practice and test new skills and strategies during session and in between appointments.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with Latina population in Mexico and U.S for more than 20 years had have allowed to me adapt to changes in generations, technology, medicine, social, and multicultural factors that help me to support my clients to develop skills to embrace satisfactory relationships and reach the life they dream and deserve to live.
