In a safe, non-judgmental, and collaborative setting, I aim to assist clients to feel empowered, resilient, self-accepted, and better equipped to handle life's varying stressors. I am honored to be in the position of assisting clients to thrive. My ideal client is an adult (18 y/o - 64 y/o); And I often work with clients facing a variety of life challenges such as self-esteem issues, grief, life transitions, work related stress, parenting challenges, among other challenges - that can manifest themselves as excessive worry or sadness, and/or not feeling seen or understood. My primary therapeutic approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused, and Psychodynamic. I believe that in order to thrive in our lives it is helpful to be aware of the conscious and unconscious mind. It is through heightened awareness that you can make lasting change(s) in your life. My clients have reported that they appreciate my calm demeanor, and the trust that they feel in the therapeutic relationship that we establish. If you are ready to take the next step, I am here to endeavor to understand your experience, and to support and empower you. I would love to hear from you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session with me, clients can expect to engage in an open and non-judgmental conversation aimed at understanding their current concerns and goals for therapy. As the provider of therapeutic services I will proceed with asking questions about the client's personal history, emotional and physical health, and any specific issues the client is facing. This initial assessment support me as the therapist to gather important information to create a tailored treatment plan. Clients should feel encouraged to share openly and ask any questions they have about the therapy process. The first session is a crucial step in building a trusting therapeutic relationship and setting the foundation for effective treatment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Some of the areas that I consider clinical strengths are as follows: working with clients are experiencing Anxiety, Depression, and issues related to Self Esteem. In my work I try to hone in on the impact of a client's thoughts, as related to how the client is feeling, and behaving. In collaboration with the client I also attempt to assist the client in identifying distorted messages or thinking, and patiently work with the client to slowly change the schema (or pattern of thinking or behaving) to a more adaptive and supportive lens from which to interact with the world around them.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My years of experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to support clients with learning about the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behavior has been an invaluable part of my practice. I aim to work closely with clients to identify negative thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and self-defeating behaviors. In a safe and supportive environment, I guide clients in challenging and reframing these thoughts in order to achieve a more balanced and adaptive approach to the client's presenting problems.
