Hi there! My name is Tamica, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from University of Southern California. My concentration is Mental Health with a sub-concentration in Military Families. I am a psychotherapist with a breath of wealth and experience in mental health, military families, social services, the criminal justice system, and case management services. I also have extensive experience working with the elderly population, and in psychiatric units, public school systems, mental health clinics, and State, Local and Federal Governmental agencies. My purpose is to help individuals learn evidence-based strategies, techniques and skills to manage their stress, anxiety, depression and other behaviors to reclaim their lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session , I will start a brief introduction, gather personal information, and learn your reason for seeking therapy and the challenges you are facing. We will determine the goals you want to achieve while in therapy and how the goals will be measured to determine your progress. Finally, I will give you assignments to practice outside of the sessions, as that is proven to help you improve skills and strategies required to manage and reduce your symptoms.

Having worked with adolescents, adults, and geriatrics in community and psychiatric care, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience that I will apply in my sessions to treat depression, anxiety, and develop effective coping skills.
