LMFT, 20 years of experience
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience helping teens, adults, and families navigate life’s challenges. In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to lose touch with who we are, especially when past traumas and current stressors weigh heavily on us. My passion is helping clients rediscover themselves—learning to love who they are, find peace within, and build healthier relationships. Together, we’ll work toward freedom from overwhelming emotions so that you can feel more grounded, balanced, and confident in your everyday life.
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other in a safe and supportive space. I’ll invite you to share what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to work on, and any questions or concerns you may have. We’ll explore your goals together and begin identifying the challenges you want to address, whether it’s trauma, anxiety, depression, or relationship struggles. I’ll explain how I use EMDR, CPT, and CBT so you’ll have a clear understanding of how these approaches can help. You’ll never be pressured to share more than you’re ready for—we’ll move at your pace, with compassion and respect. By the end of our first session, you’ll have a better sense of what therapy will look like, what steps we can take together, and hopefully leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the path ahead.
My greatest strengths are creating a safe, nonjudgmental space and using proven methods like EMDR, CPT, and CBT to guide clients through healing. I specialize in helping people process trauma, shift unhelpful thought patterns, and build resilience. Clients often tell me they appreciate my balance of compassion and evidence-based care—offering both warmth and practical tools for change. I help clients feel understood while also equipping them with strategies to manage emotions, improve relationships, and create healthier ways of living. Many leave therapy feeling more confident, empowered, and hopeful, with a deeper sense of peace and freedom from the weight of their past.
I work with teens and adults whose lives have been shaped by trauma—whether from abuse, loss, illness, or the heavy burden carried by first responders. Many of my clients feel stuck in the past, weighed down by memories that resurface in daily life, straining relationships and draining hope. I use EMDR to help you safely process those painful experiences so they lose their power and no longer define you. For students navigating depression and anxiety, or individuals coping with the emotional impact of cancer, therapy becomes a place to release fear and rediscover strength. With EMDR, CPT, and CBT, I walk alongside clients as they learn to quiet self-doubt, manage emotions with confidence, and move forward with resilience. My ideal clients are those longing for relief, ready to step out from under the weight of their pain, and begin creating a life rooted in peace, purpose, and connection.
EMDR is a practice I use to re-process traumas and reduce the intensity of feelings and or emotions associated with the trauma. This method does not look like traditional talk therapy.
I use CPT for trauma by helping clients thoughts that are keeping them from progressing. I work with clients are challenging these thoughts and identifying problematic ways of thinking that are keeping them stuck.
I use CBT to help clients identifying habitual thoughts patterns that are unhealthy and replacing them with more healthier thoughts which lead to changes in how the client feel about themselves, which lead to changes in behaviors.
