New to Grow
I am a clinical psychologist and Arabic-speaking clinician, born in Egypt and raised in Los Angeles. I provide compassionate, culturally attuned care for clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and health-related concerns. Using a humanistic and individualized approach, I help clients gain insight, build resilience, and develop practical coping skills. I collaborate closely with each client to create a safe, supportive space for personal growth, healing, and lasting well-being.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, my goal is to help you feel comfortable and understood. We’ll start by talking about what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll ask questions to get to know you better—your history, strengths, and any patterns that may be impacting your well-being. This session moves at your pace, and you’re welcome to share as much or as little as you feel ready to. Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals and determine the best approach for moving forward. My focus is on creating a safe, supportive space where you can begin your healing journey with clarity and confidence.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths lie in my ability to create a compassionate, culturally sensitive, and collaborative therapeutic environment. I integrate Humanistic principles, mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused strategies, and positive psychology to tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs. Clients often find that I help them gain insight into their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building practical skills to manage challenges. My approach emphasizes empowerment, resilience, and long-term growth, helping clients achieve meaningful change and improved well-being.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with individuals who are ready to explore their emotions, understand their patterns, and create meaningful change. My ideal clients may be navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or the stress of managing medical and mental health concerns. I especially enjoy supporting those who value a compassionate, culturally attuned space and are open to personal growth, self-reflection, and developing new coping skills. Whether you’re seeking clarity, healing, or a stronger sense of self, I am here to help you move forward with confidence and support.
Humanistic
I integrate a Humanistic approach throughout my clinical work. Central to this method is my belief that each client has an innate capacity for growth, self-understanding, and positive change when provided with a supportive and authentic therapeutic environment. In my practice, I place strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship. I work to create a space where clients feel genuinely seen, accepted, and understood. By offering empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity, I help clients feel safe enough to explore vulnerable emotions and experiences. My style is client-centered and collaborative. Rather than directing clients toward specific solutions, I encourage them to lead the process, trusting their internal wisdom. I use reflective listening and present-focused exploration to help clients deepen their awareness of thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations in the moment. This often allows clients to gain insight into patterns that may be influencing their current challenges.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I frequently incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into my clinical work due to its strong evidence base and practical, goal-oriented structure. My experience with CBT has shown that it can be highly effective in helping clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and in developing concrete skills to create lasting change. In my practice, I begin by collaboratively identifying the client’s key concerns and establishing clear, measurable treatment goals. I work with clients to increase awareness of unhelpful thinking patterns, core beliefs, and behavioral habits that may be maintaining their difficulties. Through cognitive restructuring, we examine the evidence for and against automatic thoughts and explore more balanced and adaptive ways of interpreting situations. Behavioral interventions are also central to how I use CBT. Depending on the client’s needs, this may include exposure work, behavioral activation, skill-building, or practicing new coping strategies. I often assign between-session exercises or thought records, as these help clients apply the skills they learn in therapy to real-life situations and reinforce progress. Throughout the process, I maintain a collaborative and supportive stance. I view CBT not as a set of rigid techniques but as a flexible, structured framework that empowers clients to become active participants in their own change. I tailor interventions to each individual’s strengths, cultural context, and personal goals, ensuring the work feels relevant and achievable.
