I'm a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of nursing and health care experience. I believe that mental well-being is the cornerstone of a fulfilling life. I’m passionate about mental well-being and committed to making a positive impact in the lives of my patients, their families and the community. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I'm committed to a team approach to ensure the best care for my patients. The team approach allows us to bring the most important treatment aspects to our clients such as medication management (if needed), psychotherapy (through referrals) and addressing medical comorbidities (refer to PCP or specialist). I believe that mental health includes nurturing mind, body and spirit. My goal is patient care excellence by providing my best in every encounter.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we'll start with brief introductions, I'll explain privacy and legal aspects of the visit, and then we will review your life experiences/events that has helped to mold you into who you are today. We'll then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help us create a tailored plan to work through in follow-up sessions and incorporate medication management as needed.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having been a health care professional for over 25 years and working into different areas of healthcare, I have learned empathy, compassion and how to build caring relationships. I've also learned how to fine tune my listening skills to hear what my clients are saying, which allows me to individualize care.
