Hello, my name is Kelly! 😊 Have you been feeling overwhelmed or stressed lately? Maybe you’re feeling down or just not yourself. Are you having trouble maintaining relationships at work or school? Having a hard time communicating with people closest to you? Maybe you’re just struggling to balance all that life is handing you! We all have so many things going on in our lives every day and life can be hard! It can even feel impossible at times, but it’s not and it doesn’t have to be! We all need help in life along the way and I want to help you to succeed in everything you do, and to become the best version of yourself! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10+ years of experience providing support & counseling for children, adolescents, adults, and families that are having a challenging time with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, self-esteem, relationships, and just everyday stress that we all have at times! You are already making steps to improve yourself just by reading this and that aligns with the strengths-based approach I utilize when working with clients! I would love to work with you and journey alongside of you as you navigate the stressors of life and work to be the best you that we talked about earlier!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

You can expect to feel heard, appreciated, respected, and understood. All of that is extremely important! I take the time to see things from your perspective and hear your challenges. I want you to feel validated! This connection leads to feeling optimistic, hopeful, and excited, knowing you are capable of so much in life and you are working to unlock everything inside of you that you have to offer.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I primarily utilize a person-centered and strengths-based approach when working with clients. I work to incorporate techniques based in cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused therapies. I am also trained in motivational interviewing and dialectical-behavioral techniques. I work with clients to develop their “tool belt!” We all wear our invisible tool-belt every day, and we use our tools to help with life’s problems. I work with clients to develop various tools they can add to their belt including breathing techniques, reframing, mindfulness components, thought-challenging techniques, positive imagery, and grounding.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my biggest strengths is my ability to connect with and truly and genuinely, understand my clients and what is important to them. Positive changes and outcomes stem-from that strong connection and relationship. Whether it is working with children and families to improve communication skills and behaviors, or adults working through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief or adjustment for life’s challenges, I will partner with you to achieve your goals!
