Whether I see you face to face in my office or telehealth (video or phone) I take an individual approach to working with each of my clients to address their specific needs and challenges. I am extremely approachable and sincerely care about helping you gain clarity and insight while progressing toward developing the skills necessary to independently problem-solve in the future. Regardless of age, we all have stressors, challenges, troubles, or a past that needs some attention. My focus will be on helping you, a family member or both with whatever challenges they are facing including depression, anxiety, addiction, anger, trauma, relationship and family problems. I have 25 years of experience as a therapist and have worked with a wide range of populations and age groups. My past experiences have allowed me to extensively work with different treatment methods in various settings. I will work with you to identify the tools that will help you reach your personal goals while also giving you a secure, open-minded space for you to express your feelings and present or past issues. I will be a sounding board for you, providing support, insight and suggestions on how to cope with your challenges.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My goal is to help increase your personal insight, promote healthy behaviors, and improve upon or teach new methods for coping. Equipped with these new skills, you can begin to make changes in your life. The primary goal of therapy of our therapy is to improve your quality of life and provide you with better overall functioning. No matter our age, we all have challenges, troubles, or a past that needs some attention. From problems with depression, anxiety, anger, or trauma, to relationship and family problems I will provide a safe and non-judgmental space along with building a strong therapeutic alliance with you so you will feel supported and have the strength to overcome the challenges you are facing.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I take an individual approach with every client to address their specific challenges using interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy (‘unconditional positive regard‘) Motivational Enhancement Therapy and teach meditation, progressive muscular relaxation techniques and mindfulness. I sincerely care about my clients’ ability to gain clarity and insight to the particular challenges they are facing and develop skills to cope easier in the future. in your worth and your potential to improve. We are all on a journey and sometimes an independent perspective and therapeutic feedback can make hurdles much easier to overcome. My hope is to provide support, empowerment, and give you tools to foster growth and wellness.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am incredible approachable, authentic, easy to talk to and relatable. I provide a comfortable environment for you to process and discuss the issues you would like to address. I will listen carefully to you and reflect back, ask questions to help you see new perspectives and draw conclusions we can process together. I specialize in helping people who seem to be stuck, whether it is in a bad patterns of behavior, thinking, habits or young people struggling to launch into healthy adulthood. I work with adults, children, adolescents, young adults, and families to provide support, empowerment, and the tools necessary to foster growth and wellness.
