Hi, I'm Rachel! I'm a licensed professional counselor (LPC) providing virtual therapy in Pennsylvania. I have nearly ten years of experience working with adults and adolescents struggling with anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and depression. I also have expertise in helping clients manage stress, burnout and identify healthy and sustainable boundaries for their life, work, and relationships. I seek to work with clients holistically and collaboratively, creating practical goals for lasting change.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we'll get to know each other and establish a safe space. We'll talk about your life experience, and what the current pain points are that are bringing you to therapy. From there, we'll create goals for what we'll be working on together in future sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with clients for years on effectively and holistically managing anxiety, depression, and OCD, I can help you better understand what you are experiencing, identify the underlying factors contributing to these struggles, and help you clearly define and move toward positive, lasting change.

My treatment methods

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I use exposure response prevention (ERP) therapy to help individuals struggling with obsessive-compulsive thought and behavior patterns. We'll process and resolve the fears and anxiety that often underly OCD, while also working on practical exercises to reduce compulsions and manage obsessive and intrusive thoughts effectively.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT in working with individuals with anxiety, depression and ADHD, often incorporating some elements of mindfulness as they're helpful. CBT helps us identify and change the thought, emotion and behavior patterns that are often connected to experiences of anxiety, depression and ADHD, enabling you to see yourself and your experience in a different, more positive, and less stressful light.

Faith based therapy

I provide faith-based therapy to individuals who are interested in incorporating their beliefs into the therapy process. Our faith often impacts what we believe about ourselves, others, and the world, and it can be helpful to understand how faith is impacting your experience, and even clarify, define and distinguish your own beliefs from those of others, or from social/religious expectations.
