I love working with my clients in a collaborative therapeutic relationship built upon trauma-informed care. I believe that safety, choice, collaboration, trustworthiness, and empowerment are the bedrock to build a strong therapeutic rapport. I do my best to show up for my clients in a non-judgmental and compassionate way to help them identify, explore, and take valued action toward their own healing and well-being. I love what I do!
Starting therapy can feel both hopeful and a little uncertain, so I want you to know exactly what to expect. Our first session is about getting to know each other and beginning to build a foundation of trust. I’ll invite you to share what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and any concerns you may have. We’ll also talk through your history, current stressors, and strengths so I can better understand your unique story. I’ll ask questions, but there’s no pressure, you get to decide what feels comfortable to share. This first meeting is also a chance for you to get a sense of my style and see if working together feels like a good fit. We’ll discuss your goals, explore what you’d like to change or heal, and begin shaping a plan that fits your needs. You can expect a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you don’t have to “have it all figured out.” The first session is simply a starting point, an opportunity to begin your journey with curiosity, compassion, and care.
I utilize an eclectic approach with person-centered as a foundation. The modalities used in my sessions are CBT, ACT, Strength-based, Trauma-focused, Emotionally-Focused, Humanistic, Culturally Sensitive, and Mindfulness-based modalities in my therapy sessions.
I believe my biggest strength is that I deeply love my job. Because I love what I do it allows me to show up compassionately and authentically for my clients while also holding appropriate boundaries.
I am focused on treating clients 18 years old and above struggling with Anxiety, Depression, Adjustment Disorder, Relationships issues, Family Issues, Grief, LGBTQ, and Stress.

She is the first person I have been completely honest with. It is easy to talk to her. I do not feel judge. I feel heard which is the most important.

Kate is awesome. She has helped my family in numerous ways (marital issues, children, communication). Highly recommend.
