I was drawn to psychiatry during my clinical rotation in nursing school as I’ve always believed in the “mind/body connection.” I understand that the brain plays a crucial role in our physical health so it is only natural that emotional unrest can lead to physical consequences. Therefore, optimal health is derived from both a strong body and mind. I am passionate about what I do as a PMHNP as I believe it’s a privilege to treat a person during one of the most vulnerable moments of their life. It's an honor to work with you through this difficult time in order to find long-term solutions.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I create an environment that fosters trust and respect. I want to learn more about you, your expectations as well as your past experiences in psychiatry so I understand your perspective. Starting from our first session, I want you to feel seen and heard. To do so, we will talk about your level of comfort sharing personal information and we will create a treatment plan that you are in agreement with.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My true passion is working with individuals with trauma related disorders. I have helped countless clients overcome trauma symptoms to live a fuller life. Additionally, I'm trained in various trauma based modalities such as EMDR, CBT, and somatic-based interventions; I sought out this training in order to understand the modalities that are beneficial for the growth of my clients. My experience also extends to many psychiatric disorders which includes (but are not limited to): depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, acute crisis, substance use, eating disorders, OCD, and ADHD.
