Hi, I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker (LCSW) based in California. I received my Masters from California State University, Los Angeles and have been practicing for 8 years. I aim to create a therapeutic environment that is safe, comfortable, non-judgmental and empathetic. I provide counseling to adults using evidence-based interventions to meet individual needs. During the course of therapy, I implement various psychological approaches depending on the problem that is being treated and tailor treatment that will best benefit you.
Our first session will consist of a brief introduction, explore the reason for treatment, answer questions you may have, and create a plan to proceed with treatment. If you think we are a good fit to work together, we will schedule a follow-up session.
My greatest strengths as a provider are my ability to be non-judgmental, empathetic, curious, compassionate, and caring about my clients. I am passionate about working together to develop effective coping skills and find solutions tailored to your situation. I offer services in English and Spanish.
I work with adults from 18 to 64 years old with issues such as anxiety, depression, school issues, self-esteem issues, ADHD, anger management, life coaching, grief, self-discovery, family conflict and parenting. My goal is to provide a safe environment where adults can feel free to express themselves. My goals is also to help develop self-awareness, lifetime skill sets, and coping skills to improve relationships with themselves and with others.
Carlos Beltran offers therapy covered by CalViva Health (Medi-Cal), Community Health Plan of Imperial Valley (Medi-Cal), Gold Coast Health Plan (Medi-Cal), Health Net (Medi-Cal), Health Plan of San Joaquin - Medi-Cal, L.A. Care Health Plan (Medi-Cal), Partnership HealthPlan of California (Medi-Cal), San Francisco Health Plan (Medi-Cal) and Santa Clara Family Health Plan - Medi-Cal in California.
I implement CBT by allowing clients to analyze problematic thoughts, manage negative emotions, and identify ways to effectively change behavior patterns.
I provide a non-judgmental, trauma-informed, and person-centered approach while cultivating self-acceptance and allowing grief to unfold at its own pace.
I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental and safe environment for clients to openly talk about interpersonal and life issues. I encourage clients to connect with social supports to improve the quality of their relationships. The ultimate goal is to improve how clients relate to others as a form of healing their own symptoms.
I like to offer an empathetic and supportive environment where the client feels motivated to create their own commitment to change.
From evidenced based and scientific approaches, I share knowledge, information, resources, and coping skills that relate to a specific mental health condition or concern.
