Hi there, I'm Dr. Williams Are you feeling depressed, feeling down, or not quite feeling yourself? Are you feeling overwhelmed with work, personal and family life? Does your life seem off-balanced or out of control? Are you struggling to find meaning in your life? Now, imagine living your life with more purpose, certainty, and confidence. Imagine having a sense of who you are and moving forward to become who you want to be. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based prescribing so you can be the best you can be. Together, we can find what's medication will work for you and get you back to balance. Let's work together to create balance in your life.
We will meet with you for an extensive interview and psychiatric evaluation in which we will gather some information such as your history, symptoms, and family dynamics. In this first session, we will determine the best course of action.
For depression and or anxiety, I would normally assess your symptoms and complete a medication assessment during the initial session. I may prescribe psychiatric medication or recommend therapy or both, which will be discussed in session. Most patients experience a gradual improvement in symptoms within 4-6 weeks, with consistent improvement thereafter.
I work well with adult, adolescent, and older adult clients who suffer from anxiety and mood disorders such as depression.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
My experience with this CBT treatment method is grounded in evidence-based practice and clinical application across a range of patient presentations. I use a structured yet flexible approach to help patients understand the relationship between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Sessions focus on identifying maladaptive thinking patterns, challenging cognitive distortions, and developing healthier coping strategies through techniques such as psychoeducation, guided discovery, behavioral activation, and skills practice. My approach is collaborative and patient-centered, emphasizing the importance of a strong therapeutic alliance and shared goal setting. I tailor interventions to the patient’s level of insight, readiness for change, and clinical needs while continuously assessing progress. I also encourage between-session practice to reinforce skills and promote independence. Overall, my goal is to empower patients to develop cognitive flexibility, enhance emotion regulation, and apply CBT strategies effectively in their daily lives to support long-term symptom management and improved functioning.
