I help intellectualizers, perfectionists, and anxious individuals—those whose minds are always racing or looping—find a place to let it out, ground themselves, and experience clarity and peace. I especially enjoy working with women, young adults, and those who dedicate themselves to making the world a better place, such as teachers, nurses, nonprofit professionals, and mothers. Maybe you’ve been turning the same thoughts over and over in your mind, searching for lucidity or tranquility—and not quite finding it. Therapy offers a space to talk through your concerns, ruminations, and vulnerable memories at length without judgment.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can be intimidating. I invite folks who do not know exactly what’s “wrong,” what they need, or a clear answer to “What brings you into therapy?” The power of therapy lies in part in us figuring that out together, aligning past stories, present feelings, and behavioral habits to understand what feels unwanted find another way.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have a bachelor’s degree from Vassar College in Psychological Science and a master’s degree from Smith College School for Social Work which is a culturally-sensitive psychodynamic training program. I’m a psychotherapist in the Philadelphia area and I am licensed fully to provide therapy independently to residents of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Florida, and Texas. I have taken a multitude of trainings in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and I have published on anxiety treatment, anxiety etiology, panic attacks, and clinical neuroscience. When not with clients or reading psychology books, I love to garden, watch films, listen to indie pop, and bike around the city!

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My goal is to develop a deep, holistic understanding of how your experiences connect, so we can identify meaningful patterns and opportunities for growth, insight, and behavioral change. In sessions, I strive to be warm, thoughtful, focused, and down-to-earth. As much as I love theory, I aim for therapy sessions to feel relaxed, comfortable, and balanced.

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

Psychodynamic therapy is rooted in psychoanalytic theory. Therapists who utilize psychodynamic therapy focus on uncovering unconscious thoughts and emotions to understand and change present behavior and relationship patterns.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is an action-oriented, mindfulness-based behavioral therapy. We focus on accepting difficult thoughts and emotions rather than struggling against or avoiding them.

Relational

Relational theory is about how past interactions, societal factors, and relationships shape us. Through exploration, the goal is to improve communication, foster self-awareness, and repair relational wounds.
