Hi There! My name is Te'Ericka (She/Her). I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Illinois. I earned my Master’s degree from Chicago State University and I have been practicing for 4 years. I specialize in working with women and children who have experienced trauma, providing them with the support, guidance, and tools they need to heal, build resilience, and thrive.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In their first session with me, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive environment where we will work together to establish trust and rapport. We’ll likely begin by discussing their background, current challenges, and goals for therapy. We will also assess their needs and my therapeutic approach and create a plan for ongoing treatment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider, I believe my greatest strengths are creating a safe, compassionate space for clients, particularly women and children who have experienced trauma. My expertise in trauma-informed care, combined with my empathetic listening and ability to create personalized treatment plans, helps me build strong therapeutic relationships and foster healing.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I collaborate with clients to identify their specific goals, assess current thought patterns, and develop a tailored treatment plan to meet their unique needs.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I form alliances with individuals to help them manage emotions and improve relationships through mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness skills.

Grief Therapy

I specialize in grief therapy, helping clients navigate loss and find healing. In practice, I provide support through listening, validating emotions, and guiding clients through stages of grief. I use techniques like narrative therapy and mindfulness to facilitate acceptance, emotional expression, and the gradual rebuilding of meaning and purpose.
